Bio

Picture of JeffJeff Mueller is a freelance web developer, tech writer, and blogger with a penchant for usable interfaces and an eye for good design.

Jeff spent his formative years on the Texas Gulf Coast. At the age of five, he began writing BASIC code on a TRS-80. In high school, he began writing short stories. Somewhere along the way, the two interests collided.

In 2007, Jeff graduated from Brooklyn Polytechnic University with a B.S. in Technical Communication, which is also known as Writing for Nerds.

Prior to going solo, Jeff spent many hours as a grocery store clerk, video game sales associate, computer repair person, and tech support guru for a local Internet service provider.

In the last two years, Jeff has developed three content management systems for various clients using PERL, Ruby on Rails, and everything in between. Blogging, RSS feeds, and top secret Web 2.0 projects (that may or may not see the light of day) occupy his time between clients.

Jeff can be found around Austin, Texas handing out his Moo cards at Internet and new media events, and he hopes to see all of you at South by Southwest Interactive next March.

Jeff’s favorite tools-of-the-trade include a trusty MacBook and a cup of coffee. If you’re interested in Jeff’s resume, you can view it here or download a PDF of it PDF [112 kb]. He also has a profile on LinkedIn.
